I saw it yesterday in the grocery store, the pumpkin spice section. That means it’s time for pumpkin hat knitting, right?
Pumpkin Spice Beanie was on of my best sellers back when I was selling hand knit photography props. I would make dozens a week. And by the end of October I was so over making pumpkins that I would practically skip to my yarn storage with my leftover orange skeins. I pray you sell more than that of what you make from this pattern (so if you didn’t catch that, not only do I give permission to sell on etsy and at markets from what you make from this pattern but I highly encourage it!).
I loved to use KnitPicks Brava in persimmon heather for my Pumpkin Spice Beanies because it is such an beautiful earthy color, but I have used brighter oranges, per request, and even an ivory (to resemble white pumpkins) and olive green (to resemble green gourds or squash) for a set of twins triplets. It was so adorable! I wish I had taken a picture. Yes, brava is an acrylic. If you refer natural fibers, Cascade 220 superwash merino is an awesome substitute.
If you’re looking for another pumpkin hat option check out Cable Pumpkin Beanie here.
